Physiotherapist Nelia Paulino thinks it's crucial to promote good posture and prevent bad habits and behaviour from an early age. Low back pain and other spinal ailments in children are not unknown to parents. In order to prevent this type of problem, it is necessary for the child:

- have a good sitting posture in the classroom and at home;

- carrying the rucksack correctly (using both straps);

- no carry extra weight in the rucksack (10% of body weight);

- practise regular physical activity;

- maintain a balanced diet;

- do not use technological equipment for long periods of time.
